$2 Billion and counting for UPF bomb plant”Tell the Taxpayer!

$430 more million dollars in this year’s budget for the UPF bomb plant brings the total for design only to $2 billion! Aside from secret meetings with TN Senator Lamar Alexander, who is bankrolling the bomb plant, there is NO accountability for this money. OREPA hopes to end that with a Tell the Taxpayer campaign based on the simple premise that we have a right to know how our money is being (mis)spent.

Sunday Vigil

OREPA has held Sunday vigils every week for more than 22 years at the main entrance to the Y-12 Nuclear Weapons Complex (intersection of Scarboro Rd and East Bear Creek Road) at 5:00pm ET. We are outdoors and space our chairs; when covid numbers are up, we encourage people to wear masks. Bring your own chair, we have some umbrellas for sun shade or rain.
