Red Team Report is Recipe for Disaster

The NNSA released the secret Red Team report on Thursday, May 1. A quick review of the report shows it contains an ambitious and complicated plan to relocate enriched uranium operations to several existing facilities at the Y12 Nuclear Weapons Complex in Oak Ridge while at the same time building a streamlined Uranium Processing Facility.

The key problem to the plan is simple: it requires the very thing NNSA has proven time and again it is incapable of doing”strong and effective management of a challenging project.

Sunday Vigil at Y-12 in Oak Ridge Tennessee

Sunday Vigil

OREPA has held Sunday vigils every week for more than 22 years at the main entrance to the Y-12 Nuclear Weapons Complex (intersection of Scarboro Rd and East Bear Creek Road) at 5:00pm ET. We are outdoors and space our chairs; when covid numbers are up, we encourage people to wear masks. Bring your own chair, we have some umbrellas for sun shade or rain.
