Sunday vigil

Vigil for peace and nonviolence every Sunday afternoon, 5:00pm – 6:00pm, at the front gates to the Y12 Nuclear Weapons Complex. The vigil gathers at the intersection of East Bear Creek and Scarboro Roads. Bring a folding chair if you have one!

 

The OREPA Sunday vigils have continued uninterrupted since November 1999 as a witness to life before the facility that prepares the death of the planet.

Sunday Vigil

OREPA has held Sunday vigils every week for more than 22 years at the main entrance to the Y-12 Nuclear Weapons Complex (intersection of Scarboro Rd and East Bear Creek Road) at 5:00pm ET. We are outdoors and space our chairs; when covid numbers are up, we encourage people to wear masks. Bring your own chair, we have some umbrellas for sun shade or rain.
